A New Beginning (Again)

Blank open journal with subtle spiritual elements

If you’re reading this, welcome.

Some of you may have followed this blog before. Others may have just stumbled across it. Either way, I’m grateful you’re here.

The truth is, this isn’t the first time I’ve tried to write.

For years, I’ve felt pulled toward sharing thoughts about healing, recovery, faith, trauma, and the small lessons life has a way of teaching us when we’re willing to pay attention. But every time I started, I found myself chasing the “perfect” post. I thought I needed more answers before I had anything worth saying.

Eventually, I stopped writing altogether.

Lately, though, something has been quietly tugging at my heart.

Not to become a teacher.

Not to become an expert.

Just to become a student.

I’ve decided to spend intentional time each day reading Scripture, reflecting on what I notice, wrestling with the questions it brings up, and documenting the ways I see God working – not only in the pages of the Bible, but in the ordinary moments of everyday life.

That’s what this space is becoming.

Not a Bible study.

Not a sermon.

Not a place where I’ll pretend to understand everything.

Instead, I hope it becomes an honest journal. A place where I can look back months or years from now and remember where I was, what God was teaching me, and how slowly – but faithfully – He was shaping my heart.

A quick note before we begin.

If you’re looking for a theologian, you’ve come to the wrong place.

I’m simply a woman trying to know God a little better today than I did yesterday.

Some days my thoughts may be feel clear.

Some days they’ll probably be messy.

Some days I’ll write with confidence.

Other days, I’ll leave with more questions than answers.

And I think that’s okay.

Growth isn’t always obvious while we’re living it.

Sometimes we only recognize it when we look back.

If anything I write encourages someone else, I’m incredibly thankful.

But before this blog is for anyone else…

It’s for me.

It’s a reminder to slow down.

To pay attention.

To ask better questions.

To notice God in both the extraordinary and the ordinary.

So whether you’re here because you’re walking with Jesus, questioning everything, searching for hope, or simply curious about another person’s journey…

Welcome.

I’m glad you’re here.

Let’s see where this path leads.

One day.

One page.

One step at a time.

Until next time… keep noticing.

Notice the quiet moments.

Notice the questions.

Notice the unexpected blessings.

Notice the ways God shows up when you least expect Him.

Because sometimes, the smallest moments become the ones that change us the most.
