Welcome to Embracing the Journey

If you’ve ever found yourself trying to trust God while also feeling uncertain, tired, afraid, or full of questions, you’re welcome here.

This journal is where I slow down and write honestly about what I notice while reading Scripture and living through ordinary – and sometimes difficult – seasons. I’m not writing because I have everything figured out. I’m documenting what I’m learning as I go.

You do not need to begin with the oldest entry or read everything in order. Start with the subject that feels closest to the chapter you’re living now.

Choose where to begin

When you don’t know what comes next

Begin with Entry 012, a reflection on continuing to live, help, and choose integrity even when you cannot see the next chapter.

Entry 012 | What Do You Do With the Chapter You’re In

When uncertainty is creating fear

Begin with Entry 010, a reflection on trusting God enough to take the next step without being shown the entire map.

Entry 010 | You Don’t Need the Whole Map

When you need to notice what is changing

Begin with Entry 011, a reflection on recognizing the quieter internal changes that may be taking place even when your circumstances remain uncertain.

Entry 011 | Shouldn’t That Be Proof Enough?

A gentle kind of community

I hope Embracing the Journey can become more than a place to read. I hope it can be a thoughtful space for people who are learning, questioning, healing, and trying to notice God in the middle of real life.

You are welcome to use the comments to share:

  • A question you’re carrying
  • Something a passage of Scripture helped you notice
  • A reflection from the chapter you’re currently living

Please approach each conversation with compassion. Questions are welcome, different experiences are welcome, and no one needs to pretend they have everything figured out.

Come as you are. Read at your own pace. And until next time… keep noticing.

I’m Kristine

I created Embracing the Journey as a place to slow down, notice God in everyday life, and write honestly through uncertain seasons. I don’t have every answer – I’m simply learning to keep choosing faith over fear, one next right step at a time.
